You should not blow your budget over speakers for laptop.
If you are paying more than $300 for the PC stereo speakers then you are either ripped off or "greedy" for an exceptional quality.
Currently JVC offers 5.1 speakers for laptop configuration for as little as $80.
This includes the amplifier.
No, it is not the top of the range product but perfect for games and listening to the digital music.
But, if you need more features then the Creative Inspire provides some extras.
The company throws their excellent 5.1 surround configuration for as little as $120.
Again, this is a great product for PC applications but will not entertain masses.
Thus, do not expect fantastic RMS ratings for the notebook speakers.
Most laptop systems cannot deliver large powers to their devices anyway.
The real question is - can I use my notebook speakers with other devices.
And the answer is: certainly yes!
